Moving Bedrooms

Big weekend! Friday night we offically moved everything out of the master, and into the living room/spare room. We were in shambles all weekend. It felt like we didn't have any bedrooms anymore-had to move all the wet things from the master into the spare to dry with the dehumidifyer, then started ripping the master open. EVERYTHING was wet-we did LOTS of laundry.

Mold :(

Our new little TV setup
Drying and heating...

The new home for my dresser...

One last picture of water damage (we're interested to see what was behind this).
Drying the mattress, pillows, and rug

Here we go!

CHAOS

Since the box spring was moldy, we decided to just put the mattress on the ground. The bed frame is in the basement. We figured why take up more room if this is just temporary. We joke that we don't feel like we are in our house when we are in this room since its completely redone and DRY. It's like a vacation, right?

Saturday morning John loaded up the truck and went to the dump. Along with all the garbage, were about 5 rats! We found a spot where there is a small hole in the sidding, and thinking that is where they were coming in. Now we are letting the room air out, get dry, then insulate and put the walls up.

And by Sunday, we were organized again :)

Building the fake wall

To fully remove the wall in the hallway, John had to build a fake wall to support the ceiling before adding the new beam. This was done two weekends ago...came home from zumba and it was already up! Some maneuving needed to happen to wedge the beam up in the ceiling, but its up! and fully open!

Installed seizmic clips-keep everything in place
Started installing lights for the kitchen/bar/hallway

And yes, I was watching Sex and the City.
