Master paint/carpet/move in!

And we're up to date! Again, new work schedule (aka-being busy again!) has forced me to put a hold on this, but I'm back! and caught up on posts :)

Here is John's closet, ready to be framed in
New master window
The spot for the window above the bed, we decided to just completely paint over it (no fun artwork for now)

Our only source of light. This lamp has traveled from room to room, been so helpful!
My closet framed in

Our beautiful paint color! "Functional Grey". WE LOVE IT
My closet, closing off the closet in the spare to make this one. We still need to leave room for the crawl space, but love that we are expanding our storage! Getting excited to have all my things back in one place
Demo of the old (my) closet. Notice the yellow and green paint colors. These people...

My closet door :)
And John's...
Base is up!
Sanding.
Again with the chaos. I handled it much better this time (I think...)

John had a coworker come over to install the carpet-thus the mess! We went last weekend, picked it out, and it was done that afternoon.

It's an office again! We now after 9 months have two functional rooms!

Door storage-John had to trim down the doors once the carpet was installed.
And for the time being, running cable from the spare to the master. Classy. Will be finalizing cable once the TV is installed on the wall again.
Cutting down doors (on one of the nicest weekends in May-ever)
A little home for mold we noticed once the spare was cleaned out. John did a wonderful job of cleaning the mattress (no damage thank God). But this is now at the dump.

Still need crown, but final (ish) product!!!

Master Window

New master window!

We hated this window. Was leaking/moldy, and gave us the best view of the neighbors...ewww. So we thought about how to cover it up while still letting all of it's natural light in. We decided to move the bed against this wall, and put a higher, narrower window above the bed. No more yellow house!

Reframing the new wall

Reduce, reuse, recycle old cabinets :) Plus framing in new window

New closet! (aka my closet). John restructured the original closet in the spare and closed it off since we have the new beautiful closet in that room. This added a bit more room to create more closet space in the master.
For the time being, John is covering the window with sheet rock and once we get the window (has to be ordered custom...) then he will cut the sheet rock out and just put the window in.
Gorgeous.

The original closet (now John's closet) will be a bit smaller to make more room for the stairs going into the basement. By doing this, it won't feel like we are going to dive down the stairs.
Small window covered.
