Master paint/carpet/move in!

And we're up to date! Again, new work schedule (aka-being busy again!) has forced me to put a hold on this, but I'm back! and caught up on posts :)

The spot for the window above the bed, we decided to just completely paint over it (no fun artwork for now)

Again with the chaos. I handled it much better this time (I think...)

John had a coworker come over to install the carpet-thus the mess! We went last weekend, picked it out, and it was done that afternoon.

It's an office again! We now after 9 months have two functional rooms!

Door storage-John had to trim down the doors once the carpet was installed.

And for the time being, running cable from the spare to the master. Classy. Will be finalizing cable once the TV is installed on the wall again.

Cutting down doors (on one of the nicest weekends in May-ever)

A little home for mold we noticed once the spare was cleaned out. John did a wonderful job of cleaning the mattress (no damage thank God). But this is now at the dump.

Still need crown, but final (ish) product!!!

Cutting the Spare Room Closet Doors

Last night John cut the doors down, they were a bit too tall. He took them to his truck, shaved a bit off the bottom, and installed them :)

Quite the domestic/gender role evening. John working on the house while I was cooking on our NEW STOVE!

Hallway doors-another old house oddity?

John was showing me how the original doors in this house were all different sizes. This became clear once the new ones were in, and all the door jams had to be significantly adjusted. For now, there is painters tape to cover the gaps and seal the air so no cold basement drafts come up.
