NEW ROOF!

It's finally here! The roofing company came on friday and I drove up after work to a new roof!

New Roof Day...?

The roofing company dropped off the supplies yesterday, and said "weather pending" the roof will go on. TODAY. The forecast is making me a little nervous.

Hoping to pull up to a dry (tarp-free) house after work!

More leaky roof pictures...

As embarassing as this is, here are the pictures of all our damage so far. Keeping lots of pictures for the roofing company (to show obvious past damage). As of now, John has a sit down with my dad ("an interested third party") Jay, and the roofing company. The results were that the sellers gave false information on the condition of the roof, thus leading the roofing company to not do "as thorough" of an inspection. So this leads us to place the cost on the Dean's and Gus. We shall see...

 Master room. Had to push the bed up to the wall. Notice the seam in the ceiling? Water is dripping in the middle of the room. We lay the garbage bag out when we go to work now. Only casuality...my down comforter. My mom saved it!

 John put up new sheet rock and the leak has already destroyed it. Bad picture, but the leak is coming through the light.

Road Block #1- The Roof

We have had some heavy rain this fall, and towards the end of October (1 month of being moved in...) the kitchen started to leak. We figured it was an "old house thing" and thought John could go up there and patch it himself. Turns out we have a leak in the master, spare room, and kitchen. This has put the kitchen work on hold...and our focus is dealing with the roofing company that certified the roof, the sellers, and their listing agent.

Plan as of now, getting a new roof and splitting the cost 3 ways (roofing company, sellers, John).

Wanting to live in a dry house again :(
