Island/Bar Lights

John taped the floor (because I am very visual) so we can see where the island will go. I came home from work one day to see the wall was put in!

John is putting in two outlets in the island-so this can be a prep area.

Love these bar lights! We were concerned they might look off since our ceilings are low, but they turned out good! (I may have asked if we should switch to track lights...after these were wired in...)

next step...adding a counter to the top

Side Deck/Lights

A Saturday project :) ripping down half of the deck covering to open it up and let some light in. I've been wanting some lights for the deck, just hoping once it's done it looks nice!

All the muck on top of the green plastic! John is going to replace this with a clear plastic so we can have cover for a BBQ.

Teak Table

My aunt and uncle sold their cabin and had some furniture they were distributing. They had a weathered teak table that my dad took and gave to us. My project was to take it apart, sand it down (3 different times mind you) and stain it.

Current Living Room State...

This is how the living room as looked for quite some time. Our kitchen is constantly changing, and John needs room to work :)

Hallway Lights/switches

John got fancy and put in a two-way switch for the hallway so we can hit the lights from the main kitchen spot and from outside the master bedroom. Much more convenient then running up and down the hallway!

Beautiful matching can lights in the hall :)
 All taped and mudded!
